Huanghua Port has recently commissioned the automation upgrade of Berths 1 & 2 at its Multipurpose Terminal, featuring a safe, reliable, and highly efficient smart integrated control platform developed by YM Tech. Leveraging proven technical expertise in port automation, this project supports Huanghua Port’s strategic goal of evolving into a modern, multifunctional, and comprehensive port.
Proven Solution Reapplied: Enabling Flexible Integration and Rapid Deployment
The project embodies YM Tech’s established philosophy of “flexible integration and agile deployment” in smart port construction. The smart integrated control platform ensures seamless compatibility and coordination between the terminal’s existing systems and new equipment, including six automated quay cranes and fourteen automated yard cranes. This architecture protects prior investments while significantly enhancing system integration efficiency and operational reliability, reaffirming the replicable value of YM Tech’s solutions for modernizing traditional terminals.

Serving as the “intelligent nerve center,” the platform integrates the full-process data and operational chain from quay-side to yard and horizontal transport. It enables intelligent equipment scheduling, optimized operational paths, and safe collaborative control, substantially boosting overall terminal efficiency and resource utilization. The project also featured an innovative whole-machine landing solution for large equipment, completing the complex unloading of five major units efficiently and setting a notable benchmark for rapid, coordinated project execution in the industry.

Since its commissioning, the terminal’s annual throughput capacity has increased to 10 million tons, with significantly reduced logistics costs and enhanced operational safety and efficiency.
