The 1st Smart Port Technology Symposium, jointly organized by Moffat & Nichol and YM Tech Shanghai, was successfully held on October 27, 2023 at Pujiang Crowne Plaza Shanghai. A total of more than 80 experts and scholars, including experts and scholars from port users, universities and research institutes, as well as professional vendors in terminal design, equipment manufacturing, electrical automation, operation management & control, intelligent sensing, automated driving, artificial intelligence, etc., participated in this conference. Participants shared the latest progress in the construction of smart ports and automated terminals, and made presentations and discussions on the future direction of technological development as well as topics such as simulation planning, digital twin, system integration, intelligent operation and maintenance. The speeches and discussions mainly focused on exploring the technical development trend of smart port construction and the current bottlenecks and pain points, and the participating experts exchanged views with each other and discussed constructive opinions, which achieved the purpose of promoting technical exchanges in the field of smart ports, and facilitating in-depth integration and cooperation.

Mr. Clay, Global Senior Vice President of Moffat & Nichol, and Dr. Alan Zhang, Senior R&D Manager, participated in the seminar and made a keynote speech, which introduced the history of M&N, its business in China, products and services, and shared successful cases in the field of automated terminals, and had extensive exchanges with the participants.
